Fruit and Vegetable Market (or the Farmers Market in the 5th anniversary edition) is a Secondary Industry card in Machi Koro, available in the base game.
Gameplay[]
When the card's activation number of eleven or twelve is rolled, the player with the card gets two coins from the bank for each card with the icon they own, on their turn only. Currently, the cards with a icon are:
- Wheat Field
- Apple Orchard
- Flower Garden (from Harbor Expansion)
- Corn Field (from Millionaire’s Row)
- Vineyard (from Millionaire's Row)
Strategy[]
The per-turn expected value of the card depends on whether the player uses the Train Station establishment to roll two dice, and how many cards they own (here represented as "farms"):
Or:
Number of dice rolled | Value | ||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Zero cards | One cards | Two cards | Three cards | Four cards | Five cards | Six cards | |
One | 0 | ||||||
Two | 0 | 0.1666, | 0.333, | 0.5 | 0.666, | 0.8333, | 1 |
The card's value is multiplied again by how many Fruit and Vegetable Markets the player owns.
